Canon 20D with EF-S 17-85 IS USM

The 17-85 provides the equivalent field of view (and image quality) of the EF 28-135 IS. It isn't a fast lens, but Image Stabilization (IS) makes up for it to some extent.

The 20D is a good SLR. Its only fault is the small viewfinder compared to my OM10, but the OM10 doesn't include a popup flash. I generally try to avoid flash, but the on-board one is certainly useful when some fill flash is needed and unlike the coolpix, never causes red-eye problems.
